Part 107 compliance
The Part 107 Compliance module helps you maintain regulatory adherence with a categorized pre-flight checklist, a mission briefing packet, and PDF generation for recordkeeping. Review each requirement before launch, confirm mission conditions, and keep a briefing record for your operation.
Pre-flight checklist
The checklist groups operational requirements by category and identifies critical safety items. Each item can include a regulatory reference, so you can connect the task to the applicable Part 107 requirement.
Review each checklist category
Open the Part 107 Compliance module and review every category in the mission checklist. Critical items are labeled so you can prioritize requirements that affect safe launch and operation.
Verify and toggle each item
Confirm each checklist item against the current mission, aircraft, airspace, and operating conditions. Toggle an item after you verify it. Review the attached regulatory reference when you need context for a requirement.
Confirm completion progress
Use the completion progress bar to identify unchecked items. Do not treat the briefing as complete until you have reviewed every item and confirmed that all required items are checked.
The Remote Pilot in Command is responsible for verifying every checklist item and determining whether the operation may proceed. The module supports your briefing process but does not replace your legal responsibility under Part 107.
Compliance briefing
The module automatically assembles mission information into a briefing packet. The packet combines the operational details you need to review before flight:
- Pilot information: Remote PIC identity and mission assignment.
- Aircraft information: Assigned aircraft and relevant aircraft records.
- Airspace and LAANC status: Mission airspace details and available authorization information.
- Weather conditions: Current mission weather and flight-readiness information.
- Flight plan: Mission location, route, waypoints, altitude planning, and related operational details.
- Safety information: Checklist status, emergency landing information, and hospital information when available.
Review the briefing summary before generating the PDF. Resolve missing or outdated mission information before using the packet as an operational record.
PDF generation
Select the PDF generation control after completing your briefing review. The module compiles the current mission information and produces an audit-ready briefing PDF containing:
- The categorized pre-flight checklist and completion status
- Pilot and aircraft information
- Weather conditions and flight-readiness details
- Airspace and LAANC information
- The mission plan, including route and operational details
- Emergency planning information when available
The interface displays a short compilation state while it generates the document. After generation completes, use the PDF as part of your mission records and internal review process.
Establish a record-retention process that matches your organization’s policies and applicable FAA requirements. Generating a PDF creates a briefing record, but you remain responsible for storing it securely and retaining it for the required period.
Client briefing
Use Email to Client after reviewing the briefing packet with the client. The control changes its status to Briefing Sent in the current implementation.
The current control does not demonstrate an email-service integration. Treat Briefing Sent as an application status indicator and confirm delivery through your normal client-communication process.
Regulatory references
The module attaches regulatory references to applicable checklist items. Use the following Part 107 topics as a quick reference during your briefing review.
