Flight Logs & Clients
Maintain a digital flight logbook, manage client profiles, track revenue, and record sortie details for your commercial drone operations.
Track sorties and client relationships
The Flight Logs & Clients module combines a flight logbook with a commercial client CRM. Track completed sorties, manage client relationships, review client revenue, and keep operational records connected to your commercial drone work.
Flight logbook
Each flight log entry captures the operational details you need to review a completed sortie:
- Mission title and date
- Aircraft used
- Flight duration
- Maximum altitude and distance
- Battery consumption
- Captured shots
- Incident or anomaly notes
- Client approval
- Pilot rating
Review a flight log
Open the flight records view
Open Flight Logs & Clients and select the flight records tab. The module lists completed sorties with their mission and aircraft details.
Select the sortie to review
Choose a flight log by its mission title or date. Review the aircraft, duration, altitude, distance, battery use, and captured-shot count to confirm that the operational summary is complete.
Check notes and approvals
Read the incident or anomaly notes, then verify the client approval and pilot rating. These fields provide context for the sortie beyond its flight metrics.
Confirm the record before archiving
Compare the log with the mission details and any supporting operational records. Correct missing or inaccurate information before treating the sortie as complete.
Client CRM
The client view presents each commercial relationship as a client card. Cards include the contact and account information needed to identify repeat customers and understand their activity.
Client profiles
Review the client name, company, email address, and phone number from one record.
Mission history
See the number of missions associated with each client. Use the mission count to identify active accounts and recurring work.
Account value
Review the client's tier and lifetime revenue alongside approval and pilot-rating indicators.
Client cards are designed for relationship review rather than detailed accounting. Use the associated flight and mission records as the source for sortie-level details and operational verification.
Revenue tracking
Use mission and client records together to review commercial activity. The module displays client lifetime revenue and mission totals, while flight-hour information supports operational summaries.
For more detailed billing analysis, organize the relevant records by mission, month, client, and aircraft. The following fields provide a consistent breakdown for commercial reporting:
| Breakdown | Fields to review | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Per mission | Mission title, date, client, aircraft, duration, and captured shots | Connect the work delivered with the sortie that produced it |
| Monthly | Flight date, mission total, flight hours, and client totals | Compare activity and revenue across a reporting period |
| Per client | Client name, mission count, lifetime revenue, and approval status | Review account value and repeat business |
| Per aircraft | Aircraft, flight duration, battery consumption, and mission totals | Compare utilization and operating activity across the fleet |
The displayed client revenue and mission totals depend on the records maintained in the application. Verify the underlying sortie and client information before using these values for invoicing or financial reporting.
Switching views
Use the tabs at the top of the module to move between operational records and client records.
- Select Flight Records to review completed sorties.
- Select Clients to review contact details, mission totals, tiers, and lifetime revenue.
- Select Plan New Flight from the flight records view to open the mission wizard.
- Select Add Client from the client view to begin adding a client record.
The add-log and add-client controls are part of the module's intended workflow. The current rendered implementation routes new flight planning through the mission wizard, while the corresponding log and client modal forms are not currently rendered.
Recordkeeping and compliance
Flight logs provide the completed-sortie record that supports your broader Part 107 operational documentation. Keep mission identity, aircraft, duration, altitude, battery use, and incident notes consistent with the records used for your compliance review.
Review Part 107 Compliance for the pre-flight checklist and compliance workflow.
Verify sortie data before archiving a flight log. Check the date, aircraft, duration, altitude, battery consumption, incident notes, client approval, and pilot rating against your operational records.
